eLink is a new division of Atlink ltd. focussing on environmental projects and sustainable development. Our first project has been to develop and trial a full solution for electric vehicle ownership. This includes sourcing vehicles, charging infrastructure, maintenance, and ongoing support. We are entering the final phase of this trial project which is field testing electric vehicles and chargers. .
We are excited to announce that our first four electric cars have arrived. After test driving a range of vehicles in the UK and extensively researching the options available we have selected the Kia e-Niro 4+ model, a front wheel drive crossover-SUV. Now we will begin a trial and testing phase to determine the overall suitability for the Falkland Islands environment and road conditions, as well as more general electric vehicle trial and testing.
We will initially be testing around town, but as the trial continues we will also be visiting camp to test other parameters such as range, practicality, and remote charging.
